Arthur Saunier

Biography
Born in Besançon, Arthur Saunier began studying piano at the age of 4, and organ in the class of Lynne Davis at the Music Academy of Caen at the age of 8. He joined the National Music Academy of the Nice region in Ms. Emmanuelle Cecchetti’s piano class and Olivier Vernet’s organ class. He obtained the distinction ‘very good’ at his baccalaureate, and after two years of a preparatory class at the literary section of a Grande Ecole, he acquired a degree in classical literature at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. Parallel to his university studies, he obtains the diploma for completion of musical studies mention ‘very good’ for his two instruments.
He finally chose to study in Switzerland at the Haute Ecole de Musique of Geneva in the organ classes of Mr. Vincent Thevenaz and Marcelo Giannini’s continuo, where he obtained his Bachelor in 2016 in musical performance. He is currently a Master of Music Pedagogy student in the organ class of Alessio Corti. Concurrently with his concert activities, Arthur Saunier holds the continuo in many ensembles and plays regularly at the Sainte Réparate cathedral in Nice. He is appointed titular organist of the Temple of the Madeleine of Geneva in 2017.
